(responses)

Windspike- Glad you enjoyed another essay. I'll keep 'em coming. You might check back to some of my earlier essays on crime and the law to read my thoughts on saving money in that system.

As for the education topic, that is where I am starting with this round of essays, and there may be several regarding education.

Stephen- I don't get angry as much as I get confused. When things are done with a lack of sense, I can only shake my head and wonder why. Sometimes, the answer is so plain that it takes a willful moron to do the oppposite. Such is life.
Now, though, I can blog.

Gun-toting Liberal- It's always possible to make change happen, it just doesn't always happen quickly enough. Keep the faith and do not gove up.

Shuai- Thanks for dropping by.

A VERY good post, Ken, as usual. Our government was once one "of the People, by the People and for the People" but it is now nothing more than a big old, greedy corporation that feeds off of the People and rules over them. At this point, I don't even know if it is possible to take it back.

Those who rely on common sense are doomed to live a life frustrated at everyone else's lack of it. It's true isn't it. All those people who just don't see what you see. They make you so angry don't they.

Another enticing post, Ken. I look forward to your future posts. The morass is, indeed, deep and wasteful. Let's just start with the pensions provided to our congressional reps. They make a bundle even after they finish doing their jobs. Very well taken care of set of fat cats who really don't need a social welfare program of that size.

What about prisons? Are they part of the constitution or another "social welfare" program. The cost to tax payers is beyond 30K per year to keep some individual incarcerated. Might that had been better spent on the front end on improving our school system?

You hit the nail on the head with the lacking compents providing for federally supported system of education, but back in the day the Constitution was written, education was for the elites. Still to this day, quality of education delivered is a reflection of the class warfare being waged by those who are interested in keeping the status quo static.

Remember, as I say on the header of my blog, "There is a big difference between an equal opportunity for education and an equal opportunity for an equal education"

Blog on brother.
