(responses)

DV- Well, it was SUPPOSED to be about the will of the people. Imagine my frustration trying to get some media publicity as an independent candidate. Hell, if the people can't hear about things, they certainly can't vote on them. Of course, with all the TV mudslinging by candidates, people quickly tune politics out. It's a damn shame. Thanks for dropping by.

Scott- Too lazy...too ignorant...or too fed up. Nice to hear from you again, even if you're not going by Me4Pres...

NOTR- Right...the founders knew that monarchies and tyrannies were the best forms of government. That's why they worked so hard to get one for their new country.
Thanks for the laugh...

GK- Right...that 'comprehensive' immigration bill will help pave the way for Asians coming in, although it's hard to come in illegally from the sea. I guess since they didn't put in any sea wall amendments, we'll need to watch our coastlines more carefully.
Thanks for the comment, and I'll try to get over to your place.

David- You got that right. Which would be fine, by the way, if people utilized the absentee ballot process...Glad to hear from you again.

Dirt Butter- Glad to be of service. Thanks for letting me know I offered you something useful.

Interesting information about the deserts in China, and the possible future political consequences of tampering with Mother Nature. I'll be paying attention to related news items from now on, thanks to you.

Ken,

Your points on China are well taken. The SB 2611 bill in US Senate may not be as beneficial towards Mexican Nationals, but may be more of benefit toward India/Asian resources in shifting the popopultation. The dramatic claim made by The Heritage Foundation may imply southern border of shifting population--but the truth of the matter it may be the west coast immigration from the East. The difference is of course, these resources in adult form maybe college educated, speak English "proficiently" enough, and will more likely trend toward "Republican" ideals. See my posting in The Stewart Consortium called The Absurdity of Fear....
gks

Are you running on a completely altruistic platform? It sure looks like it.

So far as majority rule goes, man that sounds horribly much like a dirty democracy. Didn't the USSR prove that democracy was a failure as a form of government. Thank-goodness our founders had the common sense to eschew that dangerous form of government.

If you go by the philosophy that some people who don't vote, choose not to as a statement, it is possible that the winner is a vacant seat. I don't like that philosophy though.

I think most who don't vote are too lazy, or too ignorant to think it matters.

I don't know when it is ever the will of the people.

I do know that I launched an email campaign that day and was disheartened that so many of my friends didn't even know it was election day. I was so depressed that I didn't even have any energy left to be depressed for the election results.
