As you plan your special day, it is important to think about who you want to officiate your ceremony. While only part of your lives for the briefest of moments, the person who performs your ceremony can often make the difference between fond memories or wedding day horror stories. It is important to choose someone who not only cares about providing the most professional service, but also who cares about your feelings for each other and recognizes your right to join in marriage.
My name is Ken Grandlund and I have been an ordained minister since 1994. I am not a practicing minister of any faith or house of worship, but I am legally empowered to officiate at your wedding, and have joined other couples in wedlock over the years. As a non-denominational minister, I am free to follow any ceremonial guidelines you desire, whether they are religious or secular in nature. I specialize in same-sex commitment ceremonies as well as traditional weddings.
RATES
As your wedding officiant, I can promise you professional, well-groomed, on-time service at an affordable rate. All wedding ceremony services include exchange of vows and rings and a signed and mailed marriage license.
Initial Consultation: Initial conversations, ceremony planning-No Charge
Minimum Ceremony: This is a very short ceremony, basically a quick “I Do” from each party, an exchange of rings, and a kiss. Ceremony lasts no longer than 15 minutes. I will also sign your marriage certificate and mail it to the County Recorder for filing. $75
Full Ceremony: This is your standard wedding ceremony with full vows (custom vows okay), ring exchanges, and any other features you wish to include. (Candle lighting, prayers, etc.) Ceremony can last up to one and a half hours. I will also sign your marriage certificate and mail it to the County Recorder for filing. $125
Rehearsal Ceremony: If purchasing the Full Ceremony, you may also want to include the Rehearsal Ceremony. This consists of my coming to your actual wedding location just prior to the actual ceremony and running through the process with you. This should not take more than an hour. $75
Ceremony Deposit: $50 non-refundable deposit due at time of event booking to ensure your date is held. Balance due prior to beginning of the ceremony.
Travel Fees: Under 20 miles- No Charge
20 to 30 miles- $15
30 to 50 miles- $25
50 to 75 miles- $35
75 to 100 miles- $50
Over 100 miles- Call for Quote
You are responsible for obtaining the marriage license prior to the ceremony. You are also responsible for any extra items to be used in the ceremony, such as candles, rings, flowers, and so forth.
