Forgot to note that the PNAC “plan” included taking out the governments of seven or more oil-producing nations so as to be able to dominate them economically. Why a bunch of Texans owning oil companies wanting to contract with these people you can likely figure out. Again, by this time that’s not news. Neither is Bush’s pissing off Putin : though I think that’s a carny show for the rubes.

With that apology noted, let me establish myself as a full-ledged loon.
I take it you are familiar with the ever-shrinking ability to get real news of what we laughingly call “Main Stream Media”. So I have been gallivanting off in all directions trying to find a political “theory” that actually was consistent with what the White House was actually doing.
I was cynical at first about the quip ” How can you tell when Bush is lyin’ ? His lips are moving.” But anyone familiar with Carl Rove and Dick Cheney’s antics might give it second thought.
I had been posting at WordPress and had a multitude of links dealing with American activites abroad : not that the domestic scene is not rapidly becoming unbelievably appalling. I’m in the process of rebuilding – do nose around and see if you can find anything useful. I could use feedback on how to make information more easy for visitors to find. My last site was coming out at “Genius” comprehension level, so I have issues with making myself understood.
Anyhow, I had started with the premise that if Rumsfeld had stashed a report in NSA archives so that casual browsing could not pick up on it, it should be important. So I ended up, somehow, with a link to “Desert Crossing” – hah – I’ll bet it’s still posted at TPM Cafe. Must check. And from Common Dreams – I think – notes on how Iraq’s water supply was destroyed. In fact, it looks as though an international “Hydraulic Empire” might be in the works. Blue Blogging and Berry St. Beacon.WordPress both had good stories on water pollution via overcroded feedlot operations which violated standards. The BlueBloggin one included pretty much all the Mississippi River basin! Grist had one as well.
Anyhow, Tom Engelhardt has been promoted by Buzzflash – for one – for his remarkable and eye opening editorials -and writers’ contributions.
Anyhow : at this point the permamnent American bases in Iraq are not much of a secret – so the point-by-point plan as outlined by the PNAC should no longer be much of a conjecture.I think Vanity Fair had the skinny on that a couple of years back.

Lots to do. If you’re happy with Google Reader, I’ve an open RSS link up.If you open “Opit’s Bookmarks on Del.ico.us” and hit the display for Cloud Tags lots more goodies are viewable.
